Issue
Rotterdam was the official European Youth Capital of 2009. The aim was to position the city as the ideal destination for young people to live, work and visit.
Brief
Define strategic positioning and create a national advertising campaign that communicates lasting opportunities for young people for the year 2009.
Execution
We dreamed of a city full of creative endeavors, passionate dialogues and experimental idea implementation, and turned the year into (Y)our World. A proper name to load the overarching theme ‘connectedness’ we created. To connect and involve youths we used co-creation as an effective process and worked on several key projects like a communication strategy, advertising campaigns, two big themed events and a think-tank that served as youth board of directors. Partner in this project was cultural strategist Andre Platteel.
