Euromast Rotterdam
Branding Deli
Issue
Smart entrepreneurs will be identified out of thousands. In February 2011, we were approached by the iconic Euromast building to help them with a new restaurant concept on the ground floor. More than 400.000 people a year pass through this former storage room - slash - merchandise shop. We immediately got inspired by their idea to turn this space into a ‘home away from home,’ serving French-inspired quick bites such as crepes and tarte flambée.
Brief
Create a contemporary name and visual identity for this new restaurant.
Execution
We always love to walk into NYC delis where the finest fresh ingredients and coffee are made in front of you. It’s like being a welcome guest in your auntie's big kitchen. Translating this feeling into a name we simply came up with Deli, supported by the pay-off, "Fresh coffee and good eats". We created a strong typographic style inspired by New York deli shops. From the menu, signage, packaging and ice cream cars, to a big mural behind the counter. By the end of 2011, a print campaign will be executed.
