Issue

Foot Locker Europe approaches Contain.r on a regular base to create in-store campaigns for the European market. When we were asked to create one for Le Coq Sportif we didn’t hesitate and got pulled in by Foot Locker’s enthusiasm for sneakers combined with the French coolness of Le Coq Sportif.

Brief

Create an in-store campaign for Le Coq Sportif to be used in Foot Locker outlets in France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Execution

We jumped to the occasion to create a fresh campaign based on a French character trait. The French are known for having ‘savoir faire’, the ability to know what to do in any given situation. We applied this knowhow and French flair by giving the Foot Locker consumer a lesson in proper sneaker etiquettes. The aesthetic of the campaign was based on faded advertising murals, known for their bold primary colors, often seen in the French countryside.
